Huffam, Valentine Julius Blake

Valentine Julius Huffam, (1893-1919), known as Julius, was the son of Timothy and Jane Huffam of Richmond. This note was written by a descendant about his family history. Huffam was living in Australia when war broke out. He returned home and enlisted in May 1915 in the New Zealand Medical Corps, No. 2 Stationary Hospital. He embarked in 1915 and served both in Egypt and on the Western Front. Julius died aged 31years of broncho-pneumonia following influenza on 22 January 1919 in Cologne, Germany
